GARDENS

There are two walled gardens at Dunbeath Castle, these were originally created when David Bryce made his dramatic cutting through solid rock to create the existing driveway to the Castle and put a walled garden high up on the bank either side of it.

The Southern Garden is a marvel of colour and botanical interest to those who visit and explore them.

The Northern Garden is more of a place to reflect and relax amongst the swaying grasses and bubbling pools.

For photographers of plants etc the best times at Dunbeath are between May and October peaking in July.
